Kallas: Political leaders in Kosovo should commit to the rapid formation of institutions

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has assessed the electoral process in Kosovo, emphasizing that democratic and inclusive elections have created the opportunity to end the political blockade that has lasted for more than a year.

In a reaction on the social network "X", Kallas called on political leaders to act responsibly and constructively to ensure the rapid formation of new institutions.

"Kosovo, with its democratic and inclusive elections, has paved the way for leaving behind more than a year of political gridlock. Political leaders must now engage constructively to ensure the formation of a government as soon as possible," she declared.

Kallas also emphasized the importance of continuing the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, describing it as a key element for Kosovo's European future.

"Progress in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as the normalization of relations with Serbia, remain essential for Kosovo's advancement on its path towards European integration," the EU High Representative said.
