The Prosecution authorizes the Police to launch an investigation into the votes in Obiliq

The State Prosecutor has authorized the Kosovo Police to launch preliminary investigations in Obiliq to verify the accuracy of the results from the December 28 elections, and to determine whether there were violations by the responsible persons. 

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina said in a statement that discrepancies were observed in the results of the candidates for MP after the completion of the vote counting in the Municipality of Obiliq. 

"During this process, there are suspicions that discrepancies were observed in the results of the candidates for deputy after the completion of the vote counting in the municipality of Obiliq. In this regard, the State Prosecutor has issued authorization for the Kosovo Police to begin preliminary investigations, in order to verify the accuracy of the results and determine whether there were possible violations by the responsible persons," the announcement states.

The biggest manipulations according to the recount data in this municipality were carried out by the Vetëvendosje Movement. 

In the VV in Obiliq, after the recount, 362 votes were taken from candidate Gazmend Krasniqi, 295 from candidate Adelina Grainca, and 106 from Enver Dugolli.
