The initiative requires the CEC to conduct a recount of all polling stations, not only 303

Bilall Sherifi from the Social Democratic Initiative said that they welcomed the decision to recount the 303 polling stations for the October 6 elections, but added that a recount should be done for every polling station in the country.

The Central Election Commission decided today to recount 303 polling stations due to errors in the preliminary results forms. According to the Sheriff, the form was the same in all the ballot boxes in the country and this fact should lead to a recount of all the boxes.

"I am here to express my satisfaction that the CEC decided as we claimed that there were errors in the forms. Despite the PZAP, the CEC admitted the error and has admitted that we have errors in the forms, technical errors they call them, but those errors produced errors in the data transfer in the forms. We are happy to begin admitting the error. No one from Nisma is disputing the regularity of citizens voting. Up to this point we are fine, but when the boxes were opened and the votes were counted and their transfer to the preliminary results forms began, big mistakes were made that jeopardized the authenticity of the data. According to the law it should be a unique form, not two. If we look carefully at this documentation, it turns out that we have 3-4 forms", he said.

According to him, there are forms where the commissioner has given himself the right to indicate with an arrow which figure applies to which party. "This is unfair, no one has the right to touch columns or carry arrows", he said. The sheriff has also said that there are other patterns of errors, where the commissioners tried to correct the errors in the form, when they wrote the names of the parties, "leading to real chaos".

"Given that we have touched the forms, 303 today was decided to be renumbered. But we are convinced by the evidence we have that all the boxes have the same form. If they all have the same form, it follows that they all have to go to a recount. If for one reason it was accepted by the CEC that there are technical errors, what is the reason for the others not to be recounted", added Sherif.

According to him, the Nisma-AKR-PD coalition crosses the threshold even without a recount. He said that the recount is only about reliability in the process.

After the full counting of regular votes, Nisma managed to get 39495 votes or 4.96 percent, remaining below the threshold of 5 percent.
