The Vetëvendosje movement has reiterated its position to hold meetings as soon as possible at the level of leaders with the LDK for the formation of the government, while this party says that the meeting will take place in the middle of next week, after the certification of the election results. October 6.
Neither party, however, considers the lack of meetings as a "deadlock" between them.
The member of the Presidency of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albulena Haxhiu, told KosovaPress that the non-certification of the results of the CEC does not prevent her from discussing some topics on which there are differences between the parties. She called on the LDK to hold meetings between the two party leaders with the same intensity of the meetings that the working groups had.
"We have never asked to sign the agreement before the CEC certifies the election results. However, nothing prevents us from talking about the topics. In this case, if we have completed more than 80 percent of the programmatic issues, now there is the discussion on the division of ministries and also the issue of dialogue with Serbia, but also any other issue that the working group has not found agreement on. Therefore, I do not understand if there is any hesitation on the part of the LDK as to why there are such statements as long as the internal meetings we have had have been extremely positive. Therefore, we invite them to continue the chairmen's meetings with the same intensity that the working groups had. We will commit to making the meeting happen as soon as possible", she declared.
The LDK spokesman, Besian Mustafa, on the other hand, said that the meeting could take place in the middle of next week, "since there can be no division of ministries without accurate information on how many MPs both parties have". .
"Somewhere in the middle of next week, we will have the certification of the results from the CEC, then as soon as the agenda of the two leaders, Isa Mustafa and Albin Kurti, will allow, we will have the next meeting to conclude the the political aspect of the co-governance agreement. This meeting will be held after the certification of the results. We cannot have a meeting where we share the powers, that is, have the final structure of the future government and the division of powers, ministries between our two parties without having accurate information about how many deputies we will have as two parties. Will we have 57 or 61, that is quite important. Therefore, we will wait until the certification by the CEC to confirm the seats in the Parliament", he declared.

Political analyst, Arton Demhasaj sees these delays as a tendency of the LDK to see the Vetëvendosje Movement in a softer position, in order to increase the appetite for ministerial positions.
"There is no need to wait for the certification of the results, but simply meetings should be held for their discussions on the alignment of their political programs. And at the same time for the creation of the governing plan and the division of government resources between these two political entities. From the moment when we have the announcement or certification of the final results of the CEC, they should be ready immediately and there should be no further delays... Potentially, LDK expects this to see a slightly softer position of the VV from the side of the number of MPs, so that this then turns into the division of ministerial posts that make these two political subjects", says Demhasaj.
In the October 6 elections, Vetëvendosje Movement, according to the results of the CEC, came first, followed by LDK.
