The new world paradigm

We now live in a world with a new paradigm. The Russian aggression in Ukraine holds in itself many intertwined geopolitical and economic relations and consequences. Due to the lack of energy, as well as the lack of production of grain and other agricultural products, with which Ukraine and Russia supply many other countries around the world, as a result we have an increase in the cost of living for the average citizen everywhere in Europe, as well as in the world. Such a thing also increases the rate of inflation of the states, in some more and in some less

We already know and experience that we live in a world with a different paradigm. Yesterday, while the temperature in London was around 19°C, it had snowed in Pristina. Climate change on our planet is more than evident.

Those of us who are middle-aged, or those even older, must remember winters with lots of snow, our hands and faces reddened from long games. However, the transition from the winter season to the spring season was more pronounced, until now we are somehow stuck in the same season of summer and late autumn, while there is almost no smooth transition between these two.

From the events in Kosovo, I would single out the report of "Freedom House", a respectable non-governmental organization supported by the US Department, USAID, as well as by several other democratic states such as Canada, the European Union, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and also by private donors, such as John D. and Catherine T.

In the latest report about Kosovo by "Freedom House", it is written that former president Hashim Thaçi, as well as former prime minister Ramush Haradinaj, were implicated in high-level corruption and organized crime. I read numerous comments, either from ordinary citizens or from political activists, who tried to portray this organization only as a simple NGO and some kind of ordered removal. However, it was not by chance that she mentioned who the main donors of "Freedom House" are, which puts her reports on a serious plane, and not the gossip of Kosovo cafes, with plastic spoons of macchiato in their mouths.

The vast majority of political analysts, catapulted through the studios of numerous private television stations, who serve political-economic expertise to viewers every day as "political debates", but with the lack of plastic macchiato spoons in their mouths, are not much different either.

also Opinion Kosovo at a strategic crossroads

Does the current Kosovar government have mistakes in its governance, of course there are. But has she stopped the rampage of theft and corruption at the industrial level, which happened here as well, my opinion is that even if she has not stopped it completely, she has at least curbed that rampage during her one-year government.

And, when corruption starts from the head and stinks to the tail, it is very dangerous for a society, since the entire state and the whole society suffers on the back of the enrichment of some individuals, in all its organizational pores. Now the participants or those directly accused of involvement in corruption and organized crime to sell us political morals and teach us political and economic lessons, is an oxymoron of its own kind.

Finally, we have the results of the last 22 years to evaluate this. Corruption did not fall from the sky, we brought it here ourselves, and the majority had consciously or unconsciously chosen to turn a blind eye to such a phenomenon in our country. Some from fear or blackmail, and some from their personal benefits.

At the beginning of the diary I mentioned that we already live in a world with a new paradigm. Such a thing also increases the rate of inflation of the states, in some more and in some less. The following years are expected to be recession years for the return to normality and economic recovery even in the countries with the most developed economies.

The war in Ukraine has entered its critical phase, when the concentration of Russian military forces has shifted to the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine, such as the regions of Donbass, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Mariupol. After the defeat and fiasco suffered by the Russian army, in its attempt to invade Kiev from the north, it has already focused its strategy on the fight for the capture of the eastern part of Ukraine, and then this will it was sold as a victory for Russia and Putin to the Russian public.

also Opinion In times of storm, Kosovo cannot experiment with the president

Otherwise, at least declaratively, the arming of Ukraine by its Western partners, such as the EU, Great Britain, America, Canada and others, continues. On the ground, this type of armament, where there is already talk of deliveries of warplanes, tanks, artillery with a longer range of action, will enable the Ukrainian army not only to fight defensively, but also offensively, until the last Russian soldier dies. from the land of Ukraine.

After the military fiasco, which Russia is suffering with such a large loss of military personnel, generals on the battlefield, as well as the loss of its most famous military ship in the Black Sea, the battleship "Moscow", it does not have much left military options, except to try to separate the eastern part of Ukraine and the Ukrainian port of Mariupol on the Black Sea, to then trumpet this as a victory in this war and the "liberation from Nazism" of the eastern part of Ukraine.

The Russian people, subjugated through such an aggressive and terrible propaganda of Putin's power, see the Russian war as a "special military intervention", as well as something right and necessary on the part of Russia. There is no mention of the crimes and genocide caused by the Russians against the Ukrainians. We, the peoples of the Balkans, had experienced such an approach and propaganda on the part of Serbia, almost identical to that of today's Russia. And Serbia continues its role as a vassal against Russian policies and approach.

However, it will not take much time for Serbia to decide what its direction is. Is it in favor of its continuation in European integration, or will it remain loyal to Russia?

Serbia is already under pressure from both Europe and Russia. This will no longer have the convenience of sitting on several chairs at the same time. Serbia will soon have to decide and be guided by the European integrations, or by the alliance with Russia.

The polarizations of the global scene were also observed in yesterday's session of the United Nations, in their next meeting for the report on Kosovo. Serbian-Russian accusations against NATO, Kosovo and Kosovar politicians, as well as their victimization, created barren scenes and debates, which we have been listening to for decades and have somehow learned by heart.

In his speech, the American ambassador to the United Nations stated that the UNMIK mission in Kosovo has already ended and that he no longer has any duties to perform there.

Even the representative of Albania to the United Nations was at the top of his duty, and the representation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, was a dignified representation.
