Migjen Kastrati, judge of the Basic Court in Peja, said that the mediation procedure reduces the number of cases in the courts.
"The mediation procedure certainly contributes to reducing the number of cases in the courts. If we talk about our court, in the sense of a statistic, a percentage of the success of the mediation and the efficiency of our court in the mediation procedure", said judge Kastrati in the show "Tempus" on KTV.
According to him, mediation as a special institution makes a positive contribution to the judicial system of the Republic of Kosovo as it is an alternative procedure.
Kastrati said that with mediation, citizens benefit in time to solve problems or disputes.
"When we talk about the cases in the mediation procedure in the civil procedure, recently it is known that a large number of cases with which the courts of the Republic of Kosovo are charged are those that are a derivative of the collective contract, where a large number in of our court, this category of cases or disputes is resolved in the mediation procedure, but there is no exception to the referral of cases where the Law on Mediation obliges us to refer certain cases to the mediation procedure", added the judge Castrate.
He said that the mediation procedure has helped, is helping and will help the judicial system, namely the courts of first instance in the efficiency of resolving cases.
