Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has admitted that the company has made mistakes during the process of transforming its workforce through artificial intelligence, as the social media giant is investing billions of dollars to reorganize its operations around this technology.
In an internal memo obtained by Reuters, Zuckerberg emphasizes that the rapid changes brought about by the development of artificial intelligence have created major challenges for the company.
"Given the complexity of these changes, we have made mistakes and will certainly make more," he wrote in the message to employees.
However, Zuckerberg has assured staff that Meta aims to provide as much stability as possible during the restructuring process and has reiterated that the company does not plan any other massive job cuts this year.
In May, Meta carried out a major organizational restructuring, laying off about 10 percent of the global workforce and transferring approximately 7 employees to new initiatives related to artificial intelligence processes and models.
According to Zuckerberg, the company will try to find new roles for employees who are engaged in training AI models.

Despite the challenges, Meta is continuing to increase its investment in artificial intelligence. In April, the company raised its capital spending forecast for the current year to between $125 billion and $145 billion, making AI one of its top strategic priorities.
