Twitter removes 32 fake accounts due to misinformation

The social network Twitter has removed 32 thousand fake accounts used by China, Russia and Turkey which, according to the company, caused disinformation.

The largest network, among the three dismantled, is the Chinese one. It consisted of 23 accounts, the content of which was distributed to another 750 accounts.

"These networks were used for coordinated and manipulative activities, with the aim of spreading to other countries," reports Twitter's explanation.

The Russian network consisted of about 1 accounts linked to Current Politics, an information site that made propaganda on behalf of the government.

Among the activities of the network there was the promotion of "United Russia", the party of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the attack on political dissidents.
