The social network Twitter, for the first time, labeled two posts by the US president, Donald Trump, as "baseless" and said that he is spreading false claims.
Trump's tweets "falsely claim" that mail-in votes will lead to "rigged elections," Twitter said.
Under his posts, the company has written in blue: "Bring facts about postal votes."
"Fact checkers say there is no evidence that mail-in ballots are linked to voter fraud," Twitter wrote.
Trump hit back, accusing the company of "interfering" in this year's US presidential election and said Twitter bases its information on "fake news".

"Twitter is completely stifling free speech and I, as president, will not allow that to happen," Trump wrote on Twitter.
The company's decision to tag the president's post comes as it has come under increased pressure to prevent the spread of fake news and fake accounts.
