This ban has been considered for many years, while some US states already have such a ban.
South Korea, India, Brazil are some of the dozens of countries that have made such a ban.
Health Services Secretary Alex Azari has said the Trump administration wanted to continue to offer an alternative to traditional cigarettes for adults while expressing concerns about the growing addiction to e-cigarettes among children.
