Donald Trump's online media company Truth Social is in talks to buy cryptocurrency trading firm Bakkt, the Financial Times has reported.
Bakkt's shares have increased by almost 66 percent in trading on Monday afternoon, while Donald Trump's victory in the presidential elections also influenced the increase.
Such a deal would help consolidate Trump's involvement in an industry he championed during the campaign.
Trump has also launched a new crypto venture, World Liberty Financial.
