Mojang has celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first public release of Minecraft (version 0.0.10a). As part of the celebration of this anniversary, the company has launched a new title - Minecraft Earth, reports Neowin.
It is an AR (augmented reality) mobile game for iOS and Android, which will start this year with closed beta. According to information, the game will not have loop drops, while it will be offered to users gradually. Support will exist for all languages that have the base version of the game.
The activities in Minecraft Earth mainly reflect those available in the standard game – collecting resources, challenges, fighting against aggressive mobs, etc., KOHA Ditore writes.
Those interested in participating in the closed beta can apply at https://earth.minecraft.net/en-us/sign-up. To participate, a mobile device is required which has at least Android 7 or iOS 10, then Microsoft or Xbox Live and corresponding login to the app store (Apple or Google ID, depending on the platform).
