Meta Platforms has announced the expansion of its artificial intelligence, Meta AI, access through Ray-Ban smart glasses to seven new European countries, including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
Users in these countries can now communicate with Meta AI via voice commands to get answers to general questions.
This marks an important step in the spread of advanced artificial intelligence technologies in such devices on the European market.
Meta first introduced Meta AI in the US in 2023. Meanwhile, the launch in Europe was delayed for several months due to regulatory concerns regarding data protection and European Union privacy regulations.
This development comes at a time when Meta is investing billions of dollars in its artificial intelligence infrastructure, with the aim of strengthening its position in the global advanced technology market and attracting new users to its platforms.
