The Huawei company has introduced a new folding phone for the Chinese market, which is a rival to Samsung's Galaxy Flip series, writes TechnoNews.
It's the Huawei Pocket S model, which is available in several colors and is a slightly slimmer version of last year's P50 Posket smartphone. A compromise has been made in the case of the processor and camera to keep the price around $800, while the base price of Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the Chinese market is $1000.
The Huawei Pocket has a foldable design and folds into a small square. It looks similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 4, but on the outside there are two large rings, one with a camera and the other with an external display that shows the time and upcoming notifications. This screen can also be used when taking selfies for the best shot possible.
The phone has a 17.5-centimeter foldable OLED internal display, as well as a 2.5-centimeter external display. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 778G processor, which means it is limited to LTE connectivity.
Sales in China begin on November 10 with a price of $820 for the 128GB version, and $1.028 for the 256GB version.
