People were able to enjoy a stunning sight in the sky on Friday as the Moon and Venus were close together.
Venus was visible to the naked eye in the sky from almost all countries of the world. Favorable weather conditions contributed to make the view even better.

Some time ago, the American Space Agency (NASA) announced that January would be quite an interesting month from an astronomical point of view.
"All month after dark, you'll find Venus and Saturn in the southwest for the first few hours, and Mars will be in the east. Uranus and Neptune are also there, technically, but they don't look like 'bright planets,' These opportunities to see multiple planets are not rare, but they don't happen every year," NASA said.
Also, it was announced that Saturn and Venus will be in conjunction between January 17 and 18 and that they will have the same ecliptic longitude.
Another interesting event from an astronomical point of view will occur on January 16 when Mars will be in opposition.
"When Mars is in contrast, it is quite bright. Let's hope that there won't be any big storms on this planet at that time, so that they don't obscure our view of its surface," said Slovenian astronomer Igor Zhiberna.
