Google Maps coming soon with private mode

During the I/O 2019 conference, Google announced that it is preparing incognito mode for Maps. However, so far not much has been said about this option. Several members of the Google Maps preview test group have confirmed that private mode is finally starting to be tested, reports Ubergizmo.

Like incognito mode for Google Chrome, Google Maps will also have private mode. Normally, incognito mode is initiated when the user does not want his/her activities to be monitored, writes KOHA Ditore. It should be noted that incognito mode does not protect against monitoring by the ISP, this is prevented only with the help of VPN.

Along with private mode, the user can avoid having his/her activities linked to the Google account. Google Maps in incognito mode will not save the search history of the place or how to get to a certain point.

In the tweet that was posted, it is also seen how easy it is to initiate incognito mode. You just need to click on the profile and enable/disable the mod. Preview Maps version 10.26 or newer provides access to private mode within the service.
