In the period between April and September of this year, the largest social network Facebook deleted about 1.5 billion fake accounts and deleted about 2.1 billion spam.
Facebook has revealed these figures in the Community Standards Report, reports Koha.net. The report shows how Facebook has dealt with issues such as nudity, hate speech, terrorist propaganda, graphic violence and fake accounts.
According to Facebook, many fake accounts are the direct result of cyber attacks.
The world's largest social network has become better at identifying and preventing violent content even before people on the network see and report it. According to Facebook's report, 95.9 percent of violent content was deleted before it was reported.
Also, Facebook is under constant scrutiny regarding the so-called 'fake news' propaganda.
