Apple's virtual app store known as the App Store has achieved 170 billion downloads and more than $130 billion in revenue since mobile app statistics site App Annie began analyzing the data in July 2010.
This is the most complete figure regarding the overall performance of the virtual store of the giant technology company, Apple.
According to these statistics, an iPhone user has on average more than 100 apps installed and uses around 40 of them per month.
Most of the downloads and revenue comes from Asia, Europe, and America, which are almost evenly matched in downloads, but Americans spend almost twice as much as other markets.
The US is the largest market in terms of downloads and spending, surpassing even China.
Overall, the majority of revenue comes from games, around 75%, although they represent only 31% of downloads.
There are currently around two million apps and games in the App Store, and the good news for Apple is that this sector continues to grow.
App Annie predicts that by 2022, the annual turnover of the App Store will reach $75.7 billion, an increase of 80 percent compared to 2017 data.
