Russia and Venezuela have blocked access to the Signal messaging app.
The Russian news service "Interfax" published the news about the banning of the Signal app in Russia and reported the announcement of the Russian telecommunications supervisory authority.
As it was said, the decision was taken due to "violation of the requirements of Russian legislation, the fulfillment of which is necessary to prevent the use of the application for terrorist and extremist purposes".
The ban on Signal in Venezuela occurred after presidential elections, the results of which are still being debated.
In both countries, access to other similar applications is difficult.
