Peja defeats Vellaznimin in Gjakova

The reigning champion of the Kosovar basketball elite, Peja, has scored another victory in the Kosovo Super League. After a three-week break due to the Kosovo Cup and the representative matches, Peja defeated Vellazni on the road, with the result 92:74.

The match has reached the 22nd round. Peja made the big difference in the result in the second quarter, after losing the first 15:14. Then, in the 10th minute of the second, he won with the result 36:16, to go to the break between the parts with a 19-point lead, 50:31. Even in the third period, Peja won with the result 27:23. Despite the fact that Vellaznimi won by five points in the last 10 minutes, 20:15, it did not manage to overturn the result. Peja managed the game well and won by 18 points.

Larry Thomas excelled with 25 points, five rebounds and six assists. Justin Davis also contributed, having 17 points, four rebounds and five assists. Meanwhile, captain Arian Qallakaj scored 16 points and four rebounds. Jahenns Manigat with 18 points and five rebounds and Myreon Jones with 16 points, five rebounds and five assists, were the best in the Gjakova team, but their contribution was not enough to avoid defeat.
