Nemanja Majdov is known as one of the most incorrect judokas. He caused a scandal by harshly criticizing the judges after he was eliminated from the "Paris 2024" Olympic Games.
Finally, the Serbian judoka has been suspended for five months. The decision was taken by the International Judo Federation.
Majdov has on many occasions expressed anti-Kosovo and anti-Albanian attitudes. It was Serbia's great hope for a medal in Paris, but it was left empty-handed. In fact, Serbia did not win any medals in judo in Paris and the Serbs accepted this very hard.
Majdov has been sentenced to five months for violating the religious code at the Olympic Games, Serbian media wrote. He tried to turn himself into a victim after the decision of the IJF.
He said that he was punished after making the cross. Majdovi emphasized that he did not want to apologize after the decision came.
His behavior in Paris was heavily criticized in the judo community. And now the judoka born in Bosnia-Herzegovina will be out of competition for several months.
