Kosovo skiers fail in giant slalom

Kosovo skiers Lirika Deva, Arba Pupovci and Kiana Kryeziu have not achieved success in the giant slalom at the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Saalbach, Austria. 

All three competed on Thursday and none of them qualified for the second round. 

Deva ranked 51st, Pupovci in 63rd position, while Kryeziu did not complete the first launch. 

The Kosovo Ski Federation has written that the team will have another opportunity for better representation. 

"Our team will have another opportunity to represent Kosovo with pride on February 15, when our girls compete in the slalom discipline. We wish you much luck and success in this next challenge," the Kosovo Ski Federation wrote on Thursday.

Meanwhile, on Thursday in the men's competition, Andi Pupovci closed the competition at the European Winter Youth Olympic Festival in Bakuriani, Georgia.

He competed in the slalom discipline. 

"In the first launch, he came in 53rd, while in the second launch he was unlucky, going off the path," the Kosovo Olympic Committee wrote on Facebook. 
On Friday, Klara Sefaj competes in the slalom discipline.
