Swede Jesper Ostlund is excited to begin his job as Kosovo's handball coach.
Ostlund on Tuesday announced the list for the matches against Great Britain, which belong to the first phase of the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
The first match against Great Britain is next Wednesday in Derby. The two teams then face off in Kosovo. The team with the most success after two matches advances.
"We will start the international match week with a lot of energy and we need to get things in place very quickly. It will be a new composition both in attack and defense, which requires a lot from the players, from me and from Jasmin Zhuta," Ostlund told the official FHK website.
He spoke about the debutants and important absences, while saying that the clear goal is to advance to the second round.

"It's an interesting first two matches for me and the team. I'll meet the players for the first time and we'll work hard to achieve our goal of advancing to the next round. We have a little training before the first match and we need to be precise in what we decide and develop as quickly as possible what the team will play. Great Britain is a team with many good players so it will be a challenge for us", emphasized Jesper Ostlund.
He was officially appointed head of Kosovo on September 2. He replaced Bujar Qerimi, whose contract with the FHK ended.
