The Kosovo U20 handball team has ended its appearance at the IHF Trophy for the European zone, which is being held in Pristina, with a heavy defeat.
On Friday afternoon, Kosovo U20 lost to Cyprus with the score 35:21. The match was valid for the third position. Thus, Kosovo U20 finished this championship for developing countries in fourth place out of four representatives in total.
In the group stage, Kosovo initially lost 24:18 to Cyprus. Then they drew with Bulgaria and Great Britain. They finished third in the group with two points.
Consequently, they played Cyprus for third place. Cyprus had finished fourth in the group stage, but in the overall standings they are ranked third.
The final between Bulgaria and Great Britain takes place on Saturday at 19:00 PM.
