The volleyball players of Kosovo debuted with a loss in the qualifications for "Euro 2026", while the volleyball players were also unsuccessful. The Latvians were better than the Kosovo volleyball players, who in the past had only played once in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and once in the CEV Volleyball European Silver League. He had suffered nine defeats from as many matches. On Saturday, Kosovo, led by coach Martin Nemec, suffered its tenth defeat.
Neither the best Albanian volleyball player, Gazmend Husaj, nor Bardhyl Hajdari helped Kosovo. Both were part of Albania, as Kosovo was not recognized in international instances. However, they have decided to contribute until the end of their career to "Dardans".
Kosovo lost the first set 25:14, the second 25:19 and the third 25:17.
Despite the defeat, in the Kosovo Volleyball Federation, the match was evaluated positively.
"This was the third victory of the Latvians against Kosovo, after two previous victories recorded in 2018. Kosovo will play its next match on August 28, as a guest of Slovakia. Despite the loss, in front of a much better quality team, the performance in each of the sets gave good signals for the National Team. After six years of absence in official presentations in international competitions, this match showed that Kosovo is improving and can offer more in the future", wrote FVK after the match.
