Istog's handball players qualify for the third round of the European Cup

The champion of Kosovo in handball, Istog, has passed a European opponent for the fourth time.

On Sunday night, the handball players from Istoga secured qualification to the third round of the European Cup.

Istog defeated the Greek team Pylaia Thessaloniki for the second time. On Sunday at the "Karagaçi" gym in Peja, Istog won with the result 35:27. On Saturday in the same arena, he won with a score of 33:25.

The clubs agreed that the two matches will take place in Kosovo. But since the gym in Istog continues to be unavailable to athletes, Istog organized both matches in Peja.

The quality was on the side of the Istogas team, which appears in European competitions for the eighth time. And for the fourth time, the opponent has passed the European Cup, which is the third level of continental competitions for handball clubs.

Istog now hopes to get lucky in the draw and overcome the second European opponent for the first time.

Astou Ndiaye and Lana Pavičević shone in Istog, scoring 11 goals each. Catarina Sucacuexe and Nihed Limem scored four each, while Arlinda Dinarica scored three goals.

Meanwhile, Samadrexha also lost the second match in Portugal against the Gaia team and was eliminated in the second round of the European Cup. Samadrexha agreed to play the two matches in Portugal. And as expected, he lost both meetings, 42:31 and 37:30. Earlier in the second round of the European Cup, Ferizaj was also stopped.
