FFK official: I was grabbed by the throat by Agim Ademi

On the eve of the elections in the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), on Wednesday it is suspected that the head of the FFK, Agim Ademi, physically attacked the worker of the Kosovar football house, Artan Govori.

The Kosovo Police has confirmed the case for TIME, indicating that Govori was being interviewed. After being interviewed for several hours at the Police Station a few meters from the FFK headquarters, Govori has confirmed the attack by Ademi. He said that he was grabbed by the throat by the head of the FFK, Agim Ademi. On the other hand, Ademi has denied for TIME that he physically attacked Govori, while the Kosovo Football Federation also clarified during the day. FFK has said that Adem's attack on Govor is untrue. But Govori insists that he was physically attacked by the mayor Ademi. Before Govori spoke to the media, there was a debate between him and the leader of "Dardans", Lulzim Berisha. The latter, together with the head of the Association of Judges of Kosovo, Pëparim Hasani, were in the Police as witnesses.

Govori emphasized that the physical attack on him had nothing to do with the debate about work at FFK.

"It is true that there was no beating. Debate, work report, had nothing to do with work. It was related to Agim Adem's kind of blackmail that he has been doing for some time now, especially towards me. They take pictures of you, follow people, send you pictures, why are you hanging out with that, why are you hanging out with this one. You say that, with all these years I've done, he should tell me who to stay with or what to do. Why is it done? It is good to ask that question to Agim Adem, why does he think of assigning us who to stay with and what to do", Govori said.

The reporting of beatings by Govori happened on the eve of the elections in the Football Federation of Kosovo. The elections for the first FFK, which will be held on April 6, have provoked a great debate in Kosovar football. Ademi is aiming for a second term at the head of the FFK, while his opponent has been confirmed as the son of the legend Fadil Vokrri, Gramozi. Govori has called the leader of the FFK a criminal.

"Yesterday I was photographed by one of these, excuse me for the expression, Agim Ademi's 'sluts', hanging out with someone he doesn't like. He sent me that photo, I just said: Can you show me the man who is doing these jobs, because I don't feel free when I go out in the city. Then he started with his usual vocabulary, from the criminal", said Govori.

Govori added that Ademi did not let them work freely and said that there are signs of his attack.

"What I am saying in front of the cameras. These have happened. I have an injury in my neck that has tightened me. It scratched me up a bit here. I'm thinking, it wasn't an attack where you know what, but it was enough for me to endure that kind of pressure, especially a small physical attack", Govori confessed.

Govori has also revealed that he only told the truth to the police officials.

He expects that the police and the prosecutor's office will deal with this case. Govori added that FFK workers have pressure when they talk to each other. Govori said that even earlier there was a problem with the mayor Ademi.

"I also had a problem at the beginning three and a half years ago when he became chairman, in fact I am the first one who had a problem with Agim Ademi. Then came Gramozi, Arianitis and the others who had already sent them away. I don't know why he hasn't sent me away for a long time. He devalued me at work, in my position, in everything, but, in any case, I stayed and took care of my work", said the FFK official.

Mayor Ademi told KOĖN on Wednesday that nothing happened.

"I don't deal with people like this. Nothing happened. I don't have time to deal with these things", said Ademi for TIME. Even the FFK has said that the media reports about Adem's attack on Govor are untrue. However, Govori says that Pëparim Hasani and Agim Dibrani were witnesses.
