Manchester United has started contacts with Bayern Munich for the eventual transfer of defender Matthijs De Ligt, reports "Sky Sports" on Thursday. Bayern are ready to sell the Dutchman at the end of this season, but United are insisting on his transfer this month.
The English team is looking for the loan of the 24-year-old for six months with the obligation to buy him in the summer for 50 million euros.
De Ligt is not at all satisfied at Bayern because of the small minutes and has already asked to leave the German club. He has a contract with Bayern until 2027, while this season he has 12 appearances and one goal scored in all competitions. Before Bayern, De Ligt also had a career at Juventus and Ajax.
