The manager of Manchester United, Jose Mourinho, has confirmed that the club is in talks about a new contract with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The 35-year-old Swede is currently a free agent after suffering a serious knee injury, while the Portuguese manager has confirmed that the club want the tall man to sign a new deal.
"We are discussing the possibility of him staying with us," Mourinho said at the first press conference for the new season. "You know he is injured and needs time to recover. He won't be ready for tomorrow."
"It's not something urgent that we want to have at all costs, I just think that he has made it clear that what he did last season was not enough for him," added the Portuguese coach.
"He thinks he can do more and wants to play at a high level, that's why we are talking about him staying with us for the second half of the season."
