Rafael Benitez will no longer be manager of Everton. The Spanish coach has been fired by the English club's leaders after the defeat by Norwich on Saturday with the result 2:1.
The news has been confirmed by the official website of the English club.
"Everton Football Club can confirm the departure of Rafael Benitez as first team coach. Benitez, who joined Everton in June 2021, has left the club with immediate effect," the club said in a statement.
Under the leadership of the Spanish coach, Everton in the Premier League after 19 games is ranked 16th with 19 points.
