Rexhbeçaj remains loyal to the team that won the Bundesliga

Kosovar midfielder Elvis Rexhbeçaj has remained loyal to the German club that has given him the opportunity to break into the big football scene.

21-year-old Rexhbeçaj, on Monday, extended his contract with the well-known team of the German Bundesliga, Wolfsburg, for another three years. He had a contract for one more year, while with the new contract at Wolfsburg he will stay until the summer of 2023. The continuation of the contract with Rexhbecajn, the German club has assessed as good news for all fans, Koha Ditore writes today.

"Elvis has developed in recent years superbly and successfully made the transition from youth player to Bundesliga player without losing focus on the essentials. He works hard, is very hungry to learn and has yet to reach end of his development. We are very happy that he has continued with us," said Wolfsburg's sporting director, Marcel Schaefer.

Rexhbeçaj this season has played in most matches in the Bundesliga, although not always as a starter. On Saturday, he completed the match against Wolfsburg, while he has appeared in a total of 23 of the 32 matches of this edition. He plays as a central midfielder, while contributing with one goal and one assist. He debuted in the Bundesliga last season when he played four matches.
