Many sports fans from the country have reacted to the death of basketball player Gazmend Sinani.
In an announcement on the official website, the Kosovo Basketball Federation wrote about the 27-year-old Sinani, who lost his life in a road accident, reports "Sporti ne KTV".
"The Kosovo Basketball Federation expresses its heartfelt condolences to the Sinani family, Gazmendi's friends for this irreparable loss. With his loss, Kosovo has lost one of the best basketball players of the generation, the national team has lost one of the most valuable and combative basketball players. His commitment during the preparations for the June games has been an inspiration and motivation for his teammates, while his professional approach and fighting spirit will remain in the memory of every basketball fan," the FBK announcement states, among other things.
There were immediate reactions from the basketball clubs of Kosovo.
"Rest in peace, Champion! It is with great sadness that we received the bitter news that the former player of our academy, who made an indescribable contribution to numerous championship title victories, Gazmend Sinani, tragically passed away last night in Gjakovë", writes KB Prishtina on Facebook.

Golden Eagle Ylli reacted, also expressing condolences to the Sinanin family for the passing of Gazi.
Even the Basketball Club, Borea, has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the Sinani family and Gazmendi's friends for this irreparable loss.
"Very difficult to say goodbye to you! Thank you for the memories and support you have given me. Your big heart will always remain in my memories. Kosovo has lost a great athlete. Rest in peace brother!", were the words of Dardan Berisha.
The other basketball player, Gëzim Morina, writes: "Thank you for everything, thank you for the big heart you saw! I will miss you, my friend....”.

His former coach in Pristina, Antonis Constantinides, also wrote about Sinan's death.
"Rest in peace Gazmend. It was an honor for me to work with you", he wrote on Facebook.
Even coaches Fidan Shatri and Dritëro Sefaja have written about him on social networks.
The British Basketball League also reacted to Gazmendi's death on Twitter.
"We are very saddened to receive the news of the death of the Kosovar basketball player Gazmend Sinani, 27 years old. Sinan led the "British Basketball League" with 11 rebounds per game at "Leeds Force". Rest in peace," wrote the BBL page on Twitter.
The Olympic Committee of Kosovo has also sent a telegram of condolence on Twitter.

Another consolation for Sinan's family and relatives comes from the Basketball Federation of Poland, against which Kosovo will play on July 1.
On June 28, Kosovo will also face Hungary.
