Ramadani with COVID-19, the Danish club says it was infected in Albania

The Albanian footballer, Ylber Ramadani, will miss the Danish team Vejle in the opening match in the Super League after being confirmed with COVID-19. The club has said that the player was infected in Albania where he had traveled for the matches with the national team earlier in September.

Even according to the club, he stayed a week isolated in Albania, although the Albanian Football Federation had denied that there are footballers with COVID-19 in its camp for the matches with Belarus and Lithuania in the League of Nations.

The 24-year-old, who according to the club has been symptom-free, has returned to training but must follow another program before being available for matches, local media reports.

Ramadani joined Vejla in 2017. Last season he was a key player for the club to move to the Danish Superliga.

As a central midfielder, he has contributed with three goals and two assists.

Vejle starts the new season on Monday against AGF.
