Bleron Ademi has been highly rated in Sweden for the talent he has shown over the years in the sport of taekwondo.
Representing Sweden, Bleroni had won medals in major youth events. Last year, he won bronze medals at the World Junior Championship held in Sofia, Bulgaria, and also at the European Championship of the U21 age group, held in Tirana.
Now Bleron Ademi is competing for Kosovo, the country where he comes from. And he immediately won a big medal, the biggest so far for Kosovar taekwondo.
On Thursday, he won silver medals at the European Taekwondo Championships for under-21s. The European for this age group is being held in Bucharest, Romania.
It is a historic medal for Kosovar taekwondo. Historic success.

Ademi's bronze, the "reward" of the European Championship in Pristina
18-year-old Ademi is proud to have won important medals representing Kosovo. He even secured the European silver medal in the first competition in which he represented Kosovo.
"It seemed very good to me, but I was nervous. But what do we do? I was very happy because I got the first medal for Kosovo and my team was very happy. Even though I didn't get the first place, I'm also proud of the second place", the talented taekwondo player told KOHEN on Friday.
Bleron Ademi thanked the family, the team and the coaches who stayed close to him all the time. He added that this success was achieved thanks to them. It intends not to stop there, but to continue successfully. He also has a big goal to be a participant in the Olympics.
"I want to open the doors for other taekwondo players", says Ademi with pride, who also remembers the Olympic gold medals won by judo. Majlinda Kelmendi, Nora Gjakova and Distria Krasniqi won gold in the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.
"This year was the last race. Next year, let's see what race he will participate in. I believe that we will go for Olympic qualifications", said Ademi.
He says that they behaved well in Sweden, even when they received the news that he will represent Kosovo in the future. Sweden has thus been left without a competitor with a lot of potential, while Kosovo has potentially gained the best taekwondo player in history.
Ademi is originally from Mitrovica, while he lives in Trollhatan, near Gothenburg, in Sweden. He says that the life of a taekwondo player is not easy. After joining the school, he immediately continues training six days a week.

All the great work done for many years paid off to Adem on Thursday in Bucharest. The European Championship for the U21 age group also started on Thursday.
Ademi competed in the category up to 54 kilograms. In the first fight, he defeated the Slovenian Aljaz Miklavčić. Then he won against the competitor from Azerbaijan, Khidir Mammadov.
He also won against the Spaniard Isaac Vives Saez. He defeated all three with the result 2:0 in the round.
With the result 2:1, he won against the successful Greek, Konstantinos Dimitropoulos, in the semi-finals. He lost in the final to the Spaniard, Ivan Escolar Parra. Parra won 2:1.
"In the final I was beaten by a Spaniard. In the first round I lost with a warning. If you make 5 remarks, the round ends. The second round ended in a draw. In the final I had cramps in both legs, I couldn't lift my legs properly. I tried, but I didn't succeed. I had energy in my body, but not in my legs. I couldn't lift my legs, because I immediately got a cramp. I was in good condition. The impasse played a role and I had nothing to do", said Bleron Ademi.
Kosovo has also won medals in combat sports in the past, in taekwondo as well, but only with young age groups.
Jon Gashi, Elion Agushi and Arnis Agushi also competed on Thursday. But all three were defeated in the first wars.

On Friday, Denis Bllaca competed in the category up to 58 kilograms. He was also defeated in the first round. Meanwhile, on Sunday, the competition for Kosovo is closed by Mal Sahiti, in the category up to 68 kilograms.
Ademi grew up as a taekwondo player in Sweden, where he continues to develop. But Kosovo can gain a lot from this development in the future. Why not an Olympic medal?
