Yesterday's defeat of Kosovo against North Macedonia has provoked many reactions. For these reactions and opinions, the striker of the Kosovar National Team, Vedat Muriqi, who was not part of the match last night, reacted.
Muriqi, on the Instagram social network, has stated that his absence on the green field has several reasons. He says that in recent months, he has been in an uncomfortable physical and psychological situation.
"In the preparations for the new season with Fenerbahçe, as early as the second training session, I injured the back muscle of my left leg in the second degree. I was told that my recovery would take an average of 4-6 weeks. Therefore, I have not participated in the exercises with the Fenerbahçe team for a month in a row", wrote Muriqi.
The Kosovar attacker said that he recovered within a month, but due to bureaucratic reasons, he was forced to return from Italy to Turkey.
"After I went through the administrative procedures and got a visa, as requested by many countries around the world, I also took the test for COVID-19. The test came out positive and this tormented me further. Even so, I was going through a difficult physical period and I didn't do any exercises, except for those for healing. While I was finishing the quarantine, I contacted the coach of our national team, Bernard Challandes, on the phone. We were both aware that we are dealing with unfavorable circumstances, but I told him that I would do my best to be ready for the match with Macedonia", it is further said.
Muriqi said that after the isolation, he returned to Italy and based on the protocols of the Seria League, each player who tested positive must undergo medical examinations. For these reasons, according to Muriqi, he missed two days and was unable to come to Kosovo for the match against North Macedonia.
