The managers of the Paderborn team are aware that they will have a difficult mission to keep midfielder Florent Muslija when the January transfer window opens. However, in Paderborn they have already taken action in this regard after they announced the teams interested in the price of the 25-year-old. Paderborn, who compete in Bundesliga 2, have already received official offers from Bundesliga side Bochum, as well as several other German elite teams for Muslija, which they have turned down.
Although he has not made public the offers for the Kosovo midfielder, Paderborni has announced that Muslija will not leave in the January transfer window "for a little money". In Paderborn, they are asking for at least three million euros to release Muslija in the next month. Muslija has attracted the attention of the Bundesliga teams after the good performances he had in the first half of this edition with Paderborn's shirt.
He is among the key players of the team, while until now, Muslija has scored 9 goals and made 6 assists in 19 appearances in all competitions. Muslija has a contract with Paderborn until the end of this season and if he is not sold in January, then he can leave the German team as a free player if he does not renew his contract.
"For a little money, Muslija will not be sold to any club, that is more than certain," warned Benjamin Weber, Paderborn's sports director. "There is interest, but I can't imagine if any club is able to make such an offer for Florentine, which we will consider."
Muslija joined Parderborn in January of last year from the Hannover team, while he has also made a career at Karlsruhe. Currently, Paderborn is fifth in Bundesliga 2 after 17 games played in the first half of this season.
It collected 27 points, eight less than Holstein Kiel, which is the leader. The first two positions in Bundesliga 2, the next edition, will be promoted directly to the elite of German football, while the third place will play in the playoffs. The team of St. Paulit is second with 33 points collected. Since 2019, Muslija has been part of the Kosovo representative team, for which he has scored one goal in 23 appearances.
