The striker Neymar has revealed that he did everything possible to return to Barcelona in 2019, but in the end, his return to "Camp Nou" failed.
The Brazilian was linked with a possible return to Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain but it was the clubs who failed to reach an agreement on compensation. Neymar wanted to return to Barcelona to reunite with Lionel Messi, who joined PSG as a free agent before the start of this season.
"I tried to return to Barcelona. I tried my best to make such a thing happen, but it was impossible. Now, I am very happy that Leo has come to PSG. He is my friend and we get along very well," said Neymar, who joined PSG in 2017 from Barça for a record fee of 222 million euros.
The 30-year-old has a contract with the French team until 2025 with the possibility of extension for another year. This edition, Neymar has four goals and as many assists in 16 games
