A surprising transfer is being considered the transition of the Kosovar attacker Vedat Muriqi, from Rizespor to one of the most trophy-winning clubs in Turkey, Fenerbahçe.

This is because during this transitional period, the attacker of the Turkish club Rizespor, was rumored to join Galatasaray, although there were reports that he was also wanted by clubs in Serie A and the French League.

However, the sports director of the Turkish club Rizespor, Yilmaz Bal, has confirmed that Muriqi will join Fenerbahçe.

"Vedat Muriqi's transfer to Fenerbahçe has been completed, everything has been agreed. Our player will continue his meetings with Fenerbahçe", wrote Rizespor on the official Twitter profile, quoting the words of director Bal, reports Koha.net.

According to the Turkish media, the vice president of KF Fenerbahçe, Semih Ozsoy, called Muriqi, as the latter is resting at home after a leg injury. During this conversation, as "Skor" reports, an agreement was reached on all the details of his transfer to the new club.

However, Ozsoy asked Muriq if the words that have circulated in the media that he wants to play for Galatasaray are true.

"I never made that statement. I have not said that I want to play for Galatasaray. There is no such statement in my written statement. I will do everything for Fenerbahçe now", Muriqi is quoted as saying.

At the height of the rumors about a possible transfer to Galatasaray or Fenerbahce, the two Istanbul teams that have officially requested him, Muriqi said a few days ago that he stands by the agreement, after the recent problems.

"I had a telephone conversation with the President, Hasan Kartali, and I told him my opinion about the future. Since there is a dispute about the transfer, I want to let you know that I will respect my contract with Rizespor until the end. This is my final decision", declared Muriqi.

The striker has excelled with the Kosovo jersey in the League of Nations and has become a protagonist with goals in the European 2020 qualifiers.
