The Albanian talent, Leon Avdullahu, has extended his contract with Basel until the summer of 2028. The 19-year-old moved to the first team last summer and has so far played ten matches in the Super League and three matches for the Swiss Cup.
"Basel has been my favorite club since I was little and that's why signing the contract today is a big dream come true.
It is an honor for me to play for this club and to share the dressing room with all these great players," Avdullahu told the Swiss club's official website.
Avdullahu plays as a defensive midfielder, while he developed in Basel. He has played five matches for Switzerland's U19, while he has the potential to appear for the Swiss Hopes.
His name is Leon Avdullahu.
