Raphael Varane will miss the second leg of the semi-final between Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The French defender has suffered a muscle injury that will prevent him from appearing in this meeting.
The news has also been confirmed by the Spanish club.
"After the tests carried out, Varane will not be ready to appear in the meeting against Chelsea because of the right muscle injury", the club's announcement states.
Varane is expected to miss Madrid for at least two weeks.
The match Chelsea - Real Madrid is played on Wednesday from 21:00.
