The Kosovo Olympic team that will represent Kosovo at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG), Buenos Aires 2018, was presented on Monday afternoon, a few hours before departure to the capital of Argentina.
Kosovo will be represented by five athletes: Erza Muminović (judo) category -44 kilograms, Erdonis Maliqi (boxing) category 64 kg, Muhamet Ramadani (athletics) discipline: shot put 5 kg, Melisa Zhdrella (swimming) discipline: 50 meter breaststroke and Bleron Fetaovski (weightlifting, category up to 77 kg.
Muminovic is the only one with an Olympic standard, while the others participate by invitation.
Judoka Erza Muminović said that she did not expect to win the Olympic standard, but after all the successes of this year, she reached her goal. She emphasized that Majlinda Kelmendi is her idol and that of all judokas.
Swimmer Melisa Zhdrella said that she will try to break Kosovo's record, expressing her concern for the sports infrastructure in the country, for which the Minister of Sports, Kujtim Gashi, once again emphasized the initiative of MKRS to invest in the construction of swimming pools Olympics in Kosovo.
