More than two years have passed since Lorenc Trashi played the last match with the Albanian national team jersey. On October 12, 2021, Trashi appeared for 65 minutes in the match that Albania lost 1:0 to Poland in the World Cup qualifiers "Qatar 2022". The match took place at the "Air Albania" stadium in the presence of 21 spectators.
The 31-year-old Trashi returns this week to play in the beautiful stadium in Tirana. He aims to help Balkan to win the match against Viktoria Plzeň.
On Thursday, the champion of Kosovo, Balkan, will play the most important match in the Conference League. The leader of Group C, the Czech Plzeň, is waiting for "Air Albania".
"I played the last match with the national team in that stadium. It's a fantastic stadium and I hope it brings us a lot of luck. It's a great pleasure for me, because it's been a while since I played in that stadium. So, from the time with the National Team and Partizan", Trashi said on Tuesday for KOHE.
Trashi has played 15 matches for Albania, while he also played for Partizan of Tirana. He had a total of 232 matches with Partizan, while there are 39 matches for the Balkans.

The Balkans are in third place in the group with four points from four matches, as well as Kazakhstan's Astana. Dinamo Zagreb is last with three points. Plzen leads with 12 points and has secured passage to the knockout stage.
The Balkans need a win to keep their hopes of promotion alive. Passing the knockout stage would be a historic success. The winger, Trashi, has called for massive support.
"The support of the fans will be a big plus for us and an additional strength. I hope as many viewers as possible will come. It is a sacrifice, because it is far, but I believe that they will be there to support us", said Trashi.
Trashi knows that for the Balkans it will be the most important match at this stage of the Conference League competitions.
"It is a very important match for us. Seeing how we are with points, a win would give us more peace of mind. We have to give our best and be disciplined on the field, in the tasks given to us by the coach", said the left winger.

Nazmi Gripshi also had an appearance in Tirana earlier. In Albania, he played for Teuta of Durrës and Skënderbeu of Korça. Gripshi and Trashi are among the most important players in the Balkans.
"The importance of the match is known and I hope we have as much support as possible from the fans, because the fans are a big plus for the team, for us players", said Gripshi.
He wishes that the "Air Albania" stadium will bring luck to the Balkans, as well as to the Albanian national team, which secured European qualification for the second time. Albania has been undefeated in "Air Albania" in the qualifications for "Euro 2024".
"Albania has gone to 'Euro 2024' without losing a single match in 'Air Albania'. And, I hope that stadium will be lucky for us to score a victory. For me it is a good feeling to return to play in Albania. I hope to do our best in that stadium and make all the Albanians who support us proud", said Gripshi.

The team from Suhareka had to play the match against the Czech team at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium. But the field at the Prishtina stadium does not meet the conditions for international matches. Thus, the Balkans have been forced to move to Tirana for the last home game in the group. If it eventually passes the group, the Kosovar champion will also play in Tirana the home matches of the knockout phase.
