(Kosova Press) - Shortly before the start of the match between Spain and Kosovo in Sevilla, the Spanish authorities asked the representatives of the "Dardans" fan group to remove the Kosovo flag from the stands.
However, this did not happen due to their insistence that they did not allow such a decision of theirs.
The chairman of the "Dardanët" fan group has told KosovaPress what really happened
"They came to remove it but we did not accept nor will we ever accept to remove the symbol of our state", said Berisha, adding that the Spanish authorities had not given any reason, only that they wanted the removal of the Kosovo flag.
"For no reason at all, we just took it down, but we didn't accept it, and here the flag is still in the stadium," Berisha said at the end.
