The KOK, disappointed with the disapproval of the Law on Sponsorship, invites the deputies to correct the "mistake"

The non-passage of the Law on Corporate Income Tax in the Assembly, namely the amendment, which would immediately give way to the Law on Sponsorship in the field of Sports, Culture and Youth, has surprised the entire sports community, who have expressed the great disappointment with the hesitation of some deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

Through a press release, the Kosovo Olympic Committee, as the highest sports institution in Kosovo, says that it has been extremely surprised that an amendment that advances the development of sports in Kosovo, which would create hundreds and thousands of places young women of work, would reduce the level of informality, and would stop the wave of young people leaving Kosovo, did not find support even from the deputies, who often know how to be proud of the achievements of sportsmen.

The KOK appeals to all hesitant MPs to support this Law and this amendment, because with it they will support the athletes of Kosovo, they will support their children by removing them from deviant paths.

"Our athletes are the ones who are making us happy and proud with the culminating results, promoting and exalting the flag and the State of Kosovo all over the world, even in the countries where the deputies of Kosovo and everyone else are denied entry. We want to remind you that the number of clubs in Kosovo, instead of continuing to grow, is continuing to decline from day to day, causing many clubs, even the best ones, to find extinction, instead of finding support from sponsors and from the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo", says the communique, reports Koha.net.

The KOK adds that the internationalization of sport after the war was the biggest goal of all sports, while many are forced today, 20 years after the war, to not be able to participate in international competitions due to insufficient financial support.

"Therefore, believing that the non-voting of this law by the deputies was not well thought out, we call on all the deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo to vote for this law in the next session and thus with their vote become part of of a rapid development of Kosovo's sport", the communiqué states.
