Kemal Ademi may have chosen Switzerland

Basel striker Kemal Ademi may have chosen Switzerland to introduce to international football.

On Friday, the Swiss Football Federation announced that Ademi now has the right to play for Switzerland.

Two days ago, the Swiss Football Federation received the green light from FIFA regarding the right of the tall striker to appear for the Swiss.

24-year-old Ademi was born in Germany, while he grew up in Switzerland. Kosovo has also been in the running for him, while the possibility of him playing for Albania has also been mentioned, KOHA reports.

But the Swiss Football Federation has taken steps forward in this direction. It even seems that the actions were coordinated with the player.

"In order to win the right to play, the Swiss Football Federation and Ademi had to present many documents and reasons to FIFA. After examination of the application, permission is granted. Kemal Ademi in December 2002, as a six-year-old, came with his family to the canton of Appenzell-Ausserrhoden. He has lived in Switzerland for almost 14 years and has been a Swiss citizen since 2011. The 24-year-old is currently under contract in Basel", announced the Swiss Federation.
