Over 70 table tennis players have honored the 20th anniversary of the KLA Epic by participating in the traditional "Adem Jashari" tournament, which took place today in Pristina.
The competitions were held in a best-of-three elimination system. From the beginning, there were many interesting matches full of surprises, starting with the loss of Alimehmet Kaçanik against Isa Çitak from Klina, then Jeton Beqiri first won with 3:2 against Kreshnik Mahmut, who was the favorite for a medal, and then against the champion of the year passed Milot Makollit also with 3:2 in a match with lots of attractive exchanges, to lose in the semi-final against his club friend, Mentor Shabani with 3:1, reports KP.
On the other hand, the talent from Prizren won against Baton Çitak in the quarterfinals with 3:2, then in the semifinals against Rrahman Ademaj with 3:1, as well as in the final against Mentor Shabani with 3:1, proving that the title won for TOP 12 Senior it was not a coincidence.
In the women's category there was a significantly smaller number, but the quality was at the expected level. In the first semi-final Linda Zeqiri won against Iliriana Haliti with 3:2, and in the second semi-final Nehare Janjeva won against Alma Mehmet with 3:0.
In the final, Linda won against Nehara with 3:0, and thus deservedly won this year's tournament dedicated to the hero Adem Jashari.
