Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is close to signing a new contract with Chelsea, reports The Telegraph on Sunday.
The 18-year-old Englishman is aiming to follow in the footsteps of other young England players such as Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who recently extended their contracts with Chelesan.
Hudson-Odoi was back on the pitch on Friday night as he played for Chelsea's Under-23s. He had been absent for four months after injuring Akili's aunt, reports Koha Ditore.
Hudson-Odoi was wanted this summer by Bayern Munich, but he has decided to stay at Chelesa. Bayern had expressed their willingness to pay up to 40 million euros for the young English striker.
Hudson-Odoi's current contract with Chelsea expires next summer.
