Georgia and Brazil have confirmed their passage to the second round of the Basketball World Cup. Both teams scored victories on Wednesday, in the last matches of the group stage.
Georgia was convincingly better than Venezuela, which it defeated in the duel played in Okinawa within Group F. Georgia triumphed with the numbers 70:59 to finish second in the group with 5 points collected after three games played.
Tornike Shengelia with 25 points was the most outstanding for Georgia, while Nestor Colmenares had 16 points for Venezuela.
Brazil also finished the group stage second, but in Group G. In the duel played in Jakarta, Brazil triumphed 89:77 against the Ivory Coast.
