The AFL denies the news that three footballers have tested positive for the coronavirus

The Football Federation of Albania (FSHF) has denied the news that three footballers of the Albanian National Team have tested positive for COVID-19. In some mediums in Albania it has been reported that Ardian Ismajli, Ylber Ramadani and Hysen Memolla have tested positive for COVID-19.

However, in its denial, the AFL has posted the results of the tests of only Ramadan and Memolla, but not of the Kosovar defender of Hajduk Split, Ismajli.

"The Albanian Football Federation denies the false news spread by three media that three footballers of the Albanian National Team have tested positive for COVID. This news is untrue and biased. No national team player, staff member or member of the delegation has tested positive. Attached are the tests of the mentioned footballers. We call on Madia to distance themselves from these untrue news and from this unprofessional practice", it was said in the denial of the AFL.

The three footballers in question were previously informed by the AFL that they will not travel to Belarus for Friday's match in the League of Nations. For Memolla and Ismajlin, he reported that the injured were gathered and could not recover. As for Ramadan, it has been said that he got an injury in training.
