The Director of the Swiss Representative, Pierluigi Tami, has said that there are no guaranteed seats in the Swiss Representative for "Euro 2024".
Switzerland finished second in the qualifying group.
Tami has mentioned the case of the captain Granit Xhaka, who after the 2:2 draw in the trip with Kosovo had criticized the selector Murat Yakin for the intensity of the training. He said that he talked with Xhaka about this.
"After the first match with Kosovo and Granit's criticism, I talked with him and the coach for ten minutes in training and then I let them talk privately. They acknowledged that this discussion was necessary and useful. I told Granit that it is a clear mistake a few days before the next qualifying match. The coach's authority must be preserved in all cases", said Tami, reports "Blick".
Switzerland drew in the two qualifying matches with Kosovo. At home it drew 1:1.
